Margham Park

As part of my undergraduate course I travelled to Margham Park in Wales. Whilst there we completed several projects which included: identifying bird species present in a habitat by using recorded alarm calls; observing foraging behaviour of Honey Bees; and working with pond skaters and sticklebacks.

We also had to design, conduct and report on an experiment of our own. My project was entitled, 'What factors effect herd size in deer?' and involved observing three different species: Red deer, Pierre David deer and Fallow deer, to investigate what factors caused herd sizes to vary.
